Description
Valentia Island is one of the most westerly points of Europe (Next stop America). Carraig Liath House overlooks the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee with views of the sea, islands and the mystic Kerry Mountains. Ideally located as a base to both Valentia and South Kerry it’s proximity to Portmagee lends itself magnificently to those who wish to visit the Skelligs, overlooking Portmagee where during the summer months boat trips to the famous Skellig Islands depart daily. (Trips to Skelligs arranged on request).
Valentia Island has a fascinating history that provides many things to see from early early religious settlements to the Trans-Atlantic cable stations of the 19th century. Local Amenities include horse riding, rock and deep sea fishing, diving, walking trails, golf and bird watching.
